Amravati, August 29, 2021 (DNS Online): Does the Government of India approved Vizag as the capital of Andhra Pradesh? It seems to be Yes. The main reason for this is that in a written reply to a starred question asked by a Kerala MP in the Lok Sabha last month on petrol and diesel prices, state names and prices in the capitals were as follows. Vizag is the capital opposite Andhra Pradesh in this list. Kerala Energy Minister Hardeep Singh on July 26, 2021 gave written details of prices in each state in 2020 and 2021 in response to a stark question (question number 84) asked by Kerala Congress MP Kumbhakudi Sudhakaran and Pradyut Boroloi. In this list, Vizag is registered as the capital opposite to Andhra Pradesh. Does that mean that the central

government has approved Vizag as its capital? Vizag's name is unlikely to be included in the Lok Sabha list without official approval from the Center Cabinet, Gazette Notification, etc. It is doubtful whether this was announced on behalf of the state government, the ruling party, the ruling party MPs or the public representatives of the opposition parties. There is also no doubt that Vizag's name was mistakenly registered as the AP capital in the Lok Sabha list. If the same is true then it remains to be seen when this change process took place.
