Helicopter‌ crash, AP resident Sai Tej among dead

Amaravati, Dec 8, 2021 ( DNS Online) : The Indian Air Force has officially announced that Bipin Rawat, India's first Chief of Defense Staff, has died in a helicopter crash near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu. Bipin Rawat along with his wife Madhulika and 11 others were killed in the accident. However, AP resident Saitej was also killed in the accident. His hometown is Eguvaregada village in Kurabalkota zone of Chittoor district. Saitej serves as Lance Naik in the Department of Defense. Saitej is the personal security officer for CDS BP Rawat. Saitej joined the Army in 2013. Saitej's death casts a shadow over his family. Saitej has a wife, a daughter and a son. Relatives said Saitej was last seen visiting Vinayaka Chavati's hometown. sources
