*Visakhapatnam, Jan 18, 2022 (DNS Online):* In the current financial year, during April to 10th January 2021-22, Waltair Division has achieved freight loading of 50 Million Tons (MT) in just 285 days informed A K Tripathi Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager Visakhapatnam division.

The Division loaded more than 50.11 MT in the last 9 months 10 days. This is 13.35% more than the previous year (2020-2021), during which time it had loaded about 44. 21MT.

This has been achieved inspite of acute shortage of wagons, prevalence of pandemic and major derailments in the critical Kottavalasa-Kirandul line territory.

Divisional Railway Manger, Waltair Division, Shri Anup satpathy

appreciated the team that indulged in this accomplishment for its relentless efforts. He said “All the credit goes to my hard working team led by Senior Divisional Operations Manager, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and other Branch officers. There is remarkable contribution by the initiatives taken by the Business Development Unit (BDU) in this achievement.” He aspired that the Division will definitely cross the set targets in this financial year.
