*Visakhapatnam, April 26 , 2022 (DNS Online):* The Visakhapatnam Port Authority registered a record by handling highest volume of cargo in a single day, informed Mr. K. Rama Mohan Rao, its Chairman. Informing the media here on Tuesday, this record achieved on April 25, by handling 3,73,544 MT of cargo at Inner Harbour and Outer Harbour including SPM. Earlier The VPT has a record by handling 3,70,029 MT through 21 vessels in December 2021. Within 4 month record was bypassed.  The Visakhapatnam Port handled 3,47,722 MT Cargo through 19 Vessels In 2nd Dec 2019.

Mr. Rama Mohana Rao congratulated the Traffic Department team for this good achievement. He further asked them to work hard for the continuous

growth of the industry. During the official session, Chairman congratulated the Traffic Manager and his team for their efforts towards record cargo handling in one day. 

Mr. Durgesh Kumar Dubey, IRTS, Dy. Chairman, MR. T. Venugopal , Secretary were also present at the session.
