*Amaravati, Nov 29 , 2022 (DNS Online) :* KS Jawahar Reddy has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary to Government of Andhra Pradesh. The state government has issued orders on Tuesday. The present CS Sameer Sharma tenure will be ending by 30 November. Mr. Jawahar Reddy will take charge as the new Chief Secretary by 1st, December, 2002. He will be coninuing in the chair till June 2024. Probably the next general elections will be held under his guidance, as he has one and a half year period.

Mr. Sameer Sharma likely to be appointed as the Chairman of the State Pollution Control Board. Apart from that, it is reported that he will be appointed as the in-charge of the Vice Chairman of the Institute of Leadership, Excellence and Governance

(ILE&G).

1990 batch IAS cadre Mr. Jawahar Reddy, at present serving as Special Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. Mr. YS Jagan very much interested in Jawahar, as there were 3 more serniors existing in the state ie Nirabh Kumar Prasad (1987), Poonam Malakondaiah (1988) and Karikal Velvan (1989).

Mr. Jawahar was given top priority in this Government. He had an opportunity to serve as Executive Officer - TTD, simultaneously taken to CMO.
