Bhogapuram Airport getting ready to cater to 6 mn passengers per annum

AMARAVATI JANAVARY 18 (DNS Online): Bhogapuram Air port in a phased manner, initially to cater to 6 million passengers per annum, the airport will be shaped to cater for cargo as well as domestic and international travels The work is Expected to progressing rapidly. With the completion of land acquisition for the greenfield international airport at Bhogapuram, the project work is expected to speed up. A Vizianagaram revenue official said that preparations have been made to resettle the people of four villages and land acquisition for the airport has been completed.

GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited (GVIAL), a

subsidiary of GMR Airports Limited (GAL), is developing the project on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) under Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.  Rehabilitation. Colonies are being built as 'model residential locations' at Gudepuvalasa and Polipalli with civic infrastructure like internal roads, parks, hospitals, community halls etc.
