Amaravati , May 09, 2023 (DNS Online): Ruling YSR Congress Party activist Borada Bhavani Shankar was stabbed to death by unidentified assailants in Rajahmundry CTRI Limits on Tuesday. He was acting as 44 ward party incharge in Rajamendravaram, East Godavari district Andhra Pradesh.
Accourding to the police, deceased and his wife returned from a function at their home on Tuesday by 3:30 pm and taking lunch. The accused followed them and went to their home and called the deceased out to talk.  Police said Bhavani Sankar came out to talk to him. While discursing, accused  stabbed him to death with knife.   The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment but could not be saved.

The police responded

quickly and identified the accused based on the CCTV footages, formed teams and arrested the accused Pita Ajay. When the accused was interrogated, the police believed that old factions behind them for the murder, police suspected. Police officers are monitoring the case very closely.  As the investigation continues, Rajahmundry three town police have registered the case. The case is under investigation.
